Burglary - Ickenham - Can you help? |
||
|
A burglary took place on Tue 21 Apr 2026 at around 1630-1640hrs on HALFORD ROAD, Ickenham, on the even numbered side to the west of the junction with The Chase. Eyewitness and CCTV information obtained thus far indicate a suspect described as being aged late 20s, wearing a dark hat with drop-down ear pads, a cream jumper and grey tracksuit trousers, who was seen leaving the burgled premises at 1640hrs. Entry to the burgled premises was gained from the rear garden through a back door. Action required please: Please could residents with CCTV and video doorbells in Halford Road and nearby roads make a specific search for images of any suspect matching the above or similar description. The suspect may have walked further along any of these roads or indeed on other roads in the Ickenham area in the 30 minutes before and after the burglary. Opportunist burglars commonly work their way across an entire Ward in search of potential premises to target. The unusual headgear may well make this individual easier to track down, and all sightings are useful to determine direction of travel. The burglar may have initially arrived from the Warren Road/Thornhill Road area - do you perhaps have him on CCTV? Any information in the first instance please to your local Ickenham & South Harefield Neighbourhood Watch team at ickenhamnhw@gmail.com which is working closely with officers on this case. Crime prevention: Opportunist thieves look for vehicles departing properties, for easy side access to the rear of a property, or high hedges at the front of a property that give them all the time they need to gain entry, especially if there is no burglar alarm visible. Please review your property to make sure that it is as secure as possible. Crime prevention works. | ||
